Looks like the rear struts are needing to be replaced on my 01 intrepid. Main question is I've changed out tons of struts in my time on other vehicles. Seriously I have to remove the rear deck board in the rear window area. as well back seat / Rear Speakers. Just to get at the rear top 3 bolts of the strut?. I plan to switch them out with quick assemble struts.

Thanks for your guys helpful tips.

Well E40, you will in fact have to remove the back seat, package shelf and speakers to get to the top bolts. Believe it or not, this is the easy part. The real work starts with the lower end of the struts. Depending on where you live, corrosion can cause havoc with the large pinch bolts that hold the struts in place and the long bolt that holds the control arm.

While there's good info here if you search, you shoudl also look at www.dodgeintrepid.net and www.300mclub.org for really good tips and instructions.

Good Luck.
