I have a 2003 Dodge Caravan Sport 3.8 with a front and rear heat. The rear seems to be working fine.....they kids say they are warm. In the front though, on a cold day cruising at highway speeds it's difficult to stay warmm I noticed coming out of a rest stop with heavy acceleration to get back into traffic it will blow somewhat hot for a couple minutes.
Any thoughts.....It use to run me out of it with all the heat.
IT has 199k miles.

In the rad. Sometimes the recovery bottle stays full with a leak in the system.

I would suggest doing a through flushing of the cooling system including the heater core. The heater core could be partially plugged. Also check the operation of the water valve.
