I miss the days when people would be buying posters and dreaming of this car. Breaking down all the numbers. Showing comparisons with other Mopar Halo Cars and other brands.

Taking the chance to brag and brag and brag that Ma Mopar is king of the hill again.
This is still happening. But today it all takes place on the Internet.

Today’s equivalent of pinning a poster up on the wall is saving a photo as your computer screen wallpaper or phone background.

I am in complete agreement. My post was a thought back to being a child...mostly sarcasm. I forget how that stuff fails in a internet chat room.

Absolutely. Phone screen savers and cases.

0-60 in 1.6 is amazing and a fantastic way to have an ICE swan song.

In the "good old days" the conversations degenerated as well to things like the 100 mpg carburetor, the Saudis paying the car companies to bury it, disc vs drum brakes, etc.
The 200 Mile-per-Gallon Carburetor: The Story of the...
Anyone take note this is in E85 Ethanol only?

It also runs pump gasoline (93 octane) and switches automatically. Under pump fuel probably more like a “mere” 800-900 hp, I don't recall if that was in the story or not. We will have more info on this over the next few days.

The good I see in this "offering" beyond the obvious is a few formerly unobtainable "offerings" just became available for sale.

Pretty useless information (and it probably doesn't fit here), but it looks like all 2023 Challengers are using PH for the last 8 of the VIN: the same letters used on the first LH's, at least going by the parts catalog 🤣
Thought that would be a neat little thing to share.

"To deliver its full 1,025 hp and 945 lb-ft, the Demon 170's 6.2-liter V-8 needs only a tank full of E85, an ethanol-rich fuel that costs less than premium unleaded and is easily found at gas stations across the country. It'll run on premium gas, as well, but output falls to a mere 900 hp and 810 lb-ft."

Now, just waiting for the cry-baby 2018 Demon owners to sue Mopar like the 2021 Durango SRT Hellcat owners because of the 2023s, now for making one last round of Demons... 😭 Like their vehicle still isn't going to be a valuable collectable.

Why would it preform better on E85 opposed to premium?

I believe it's a higher octane, like between 100-105, compared to 91/93. It's essentially the same octane as the race gas required for the original Demon but made differently.
The higher the octane, the more power you can make.

Back in the day at Highland Park there was a Carburetor Lab where carbs were modified and tested for engine development. One day we searched the whole lab and could not find the 200 MPG carburetor.

Higher octane, but more importantly is the cooling effect and extra oxygen that E85 brings to the table.

Nice coincidence. "P" meaning 2023, just like "P" meant 1993 on the first LH cars. The "H" is the plant code. Good catch!!!

Now let’s see if we can get 30 years out of the next “platform”…
Also, there was a note in the premier that the dc170 was 20% better carbon footprint. I would think there needs to be a lot of money to certify an engine in a production vehicle, is the hemi really going away?
Is e85 going to pass emissions in the future? Even if it’s maybe 2% of production, it would still count in the public’s mind. The same way the hellcat gave instant clout?

My meaning was...I was a child and times were easier to stay on topic, cause we didn't know we were supposed to be worried about other things...and followed in with...my son helps me relive those childish days.

There is no hope for on topic discussion anymore... 😂...heck 10 mins in I forget what we were talking about...😁
Don't Panic!. It's more than likely a little thing called "Middle Age".

I'm going to go out on a limb that you belong to the same age group I'm in......something I like to call
"Somewhere Between 40 and DEATH!":p:ROFLMAO:

P.S. In the interests of transparency, I really should give proper attribution to that line I use to describe my age group: It was from the fictional character "Vera Charles", played to perfection by the legendary Bea Arthur in the 1974 movie musical "Mame".

It'll be very interesting to see how this all plays out given the time and trouble dedicated to actually rolling this one out. What a huge waste if it truly is the last of the last!
They will have added to their knowledge ,and don't be surprised if the Hellcat tricks end up on the Hurricane.
