It'll be very interesting to see how this all plays out given the time and trouble dedicated to actually rolling this one out. What a huge waste if it truly is the last of the last!
Pricing is going to be interesting....

Also,

Pricing is going to be interesting....
Pricing was already announced. No idea what dealers will try to add.

"To deliver its full 1,025 hp and 945 lb-ft, the Demon 170's 6.2-liter V-8 needs only a tank full of E85, an ethanol-rich fuel that costs less than premium unleaded and is easily found at gas stations across the country. It'll run on premium gas, as well, but output falls to a mere 900 hp and 810 lb-ft."

Now, just waiting for the cry-baby 2018 Demon owners to sue Mopar like the 2021 Durango SRT Hellcat owners because of the 2023s, now for making one last round of Demons... 😭 Like their vehicle still isn't going to be a valuable collectable.
They are apparently offering a perk to existing Demon owners. One article mentioned that if a Demon owner reserved a Demon 170 they could have "matching" VINs. I wasn't sure exactly how that would work, but I was guessing they could have the same series serial number (ie #1275 of 3000) rather than the actual VIN. Does anyone know if Demon owners get first dibs on the new Demon 170? THAT would be the ultimate tip of the cap to those folks.

Rich boiz only.

Hard to get excited about anything coming out these days knowing most of us are not even measurably close to be able to buy any of it.

Unlimited money buys you snazzy stuff. We get it.

Now what's in the pipeline for regular blue collar schmucks who also like to drive, sometimes with spirit when we muster it up?

Nothing? Wow, cool!

OK, so here's where my dream starts (based on my comments when the Banshee was revealed). Since the 170 powertrain developed and it would be a complete loss if it were never to be used again, how cool would it be if this powertrain (or some version) found its way into the new Charger Daytona body for a few years bridging the transition to fully electric further in the future?
So the marketing was supposed to be about a corn demon or a drunken dream about leprechauns. You know your marketing is hot garbage when the inside joke is a little dopey, but makes much more sense.

If it's nothing like the Nissan "this guy solved a murder mystery and is chasing someone in a VCT Rogue", then I'd say it's good marketing. 😂

I mean, the front tires are 235 wide......
I don't think you'd need the wider front fenders with 235's.
Plus, you need to shave as much weight as possible, even if it's pointless (I think that's the actual, "official", reason).
Makes sense to only have the rears as the Widebody for it to do what it needs to do.
They said it saved 12 lbs up front

I always questioned why the 2018 needed the front end treated this way. Were they bound to crash test parameters and , if so, why did they go to the extra trouble in removing them for a one shot deal?

Recall how ridiculous the skinny original Demon front wheels looked in the widebody fenders. The design (so to speak) looked like it was going in 2 different places at the same time.

It's a good thing they couldn't sell the skinnies on the front of the OG Challenger Demon, otherwise it really would be odd. (Don't forget: the Skinnies were a part of the Demon crate package)

1025 hp that is totally useless - at this point why not goes to 2000 hp ? Hopefully they will now concentrate their efforts to develop new affortable and more resonable charger /charger that to be utilized on normal condition. At the begining Dodge should be good to develop new cars able to beat tesla with better design (like the concept), better car in general with lower cost and than goes to crazy performance small edition.

Beat plaid! Mopar on top again. 8.91 holy cow. Even beats lucid air sapphire.

Now thats why I’m a mopar fan. I knew they could.
This is not what Dodge needs. This is what will destroy Dodge. Dodge needs vehicles that millions of everyday folks will buy like the Dynasty, Spirit, Caravan, Daytona, etc.

Well they are miles down the “performance” path. Going back 10-15 years they used to be value volume and performance, but they dropped all the volume models.

Also the market for sedans and coups is not what it used to be.

With all that said, its still awesome they are releasing this car. Making or not making this car has no bearing on not being value and volume brand anymore.
