The original Chrysler New Yorker from Dita von Teese is on offer !!!
The world famous burlesque dancer who bathed in the champagne flute (real name: Heather Renee Sweet) bought this car in 1996 when she was not as famous as she is today. She owned this car for over a decade, until 2010, and often drove it to her fashion shoots and film events in Los Angeles. CA, USA. She herself is registered with her name on the papers. In 2010 she sold the car to the founder of the German Jaguar Forum. After the takeover, the car received a technical overhaul in LA in 2011 to ensure roadworthiness and to show the vintage charm that Dita von Teese loved so much about the car. The photos from the early days of Dita’s modeling career with this car are therefore as rare as the coveted photos of Marilyn Monroe in her younger years. Dita`s Chrysler is one of only a few surviving cars of the first "New Yorker" series, originally painted in sahara beige and powered by an 8 cylinder in-line engine. Also with rare special equipment: manual transmission plus overdrive, with working MW and LW radio as well as heating - back then before the war it was absolute luxury! The engine hums quietly and gently and is a lot of fun to drive with. The car was exhibited as a special attraction in the Imperial Casino Las Vegas as early as the 1960s. When the casino was being remodeled, it was acquired by Mr. Doering, an engineer as LA, who extensively restored it in the 1980s: body, interior, engine, etc. When he passed away, Dita was fortunate to find this beauty in 1996 for her erotic photos and videos to buy. The car is in such excellent condition
