My dad just bought 331 HEMI and just wanting to know what color the motor should be??

Silver if my memory has not failed.

I seem to remember silver and black. The larger Hemi's were gold.

My Dad's 55 New Yorker had the 331 and it was sliver and black.

Black would be for the accessories like P/S pump, Generator, distributor, Fan/pulleys (crank balancer would be silver), Spark plug wire covers, starter, Breather cap/pipe, Filters, crankcase breather, and air cleaner.
