I am considering purchasing a 66 Sport Fury Coupe. I will need to replace the bubbled dash pad Must the windshield be removed to remove and install the dash pad? I have gotten a very high quote to refurbish the dash from Just Dashes in California. One other Mopar specialist makes new dashes for about $550, but he says it is really tough to install the new dash with the windshield in the car. Any thoughts on whether this can be done without removing the windshield and any recommended vendors that sell new dash pads or can refurbish a 65/66 Fury dash Pad?

My friend had a piece missing on his cutlass dash so the body shop fixed it with bondo and painted it to match

We have a mobile interior trim service guy that goes between the dealerships. He can work magic with vinyl, cloth & leather. You can't tell where the crack or blemish was when he gets done. It is more than a doll-up.
Google for automotive interior trim repair in your area. Get an evaluation & estimate. Park the car out of the sunlight.

The pad is attached from underneath the dash with nuts. It says nothing about removing the glass, but the body guys might prefer this. How much clearance is given between the front edge of the pad and lower edge of the glass? Enough to lift a short stud out of a hole?
