I've been very disappointed in the quality of the paint job I received when I color changed from Plum Crazy to Ivory Tri-Coat Pearl. So, I'm sucking it up and stripping it down for paint again. The paint shop won't be ready to take it in until mid-February, but since it really doesn't get used much this time of year, might as well get started on tear down. No sense paying someone to do simple disassembly.

That color is just beautiful!
Can't wait to see it out in the sunlight, it will probably be a 100x better.

Maybe I missed it in a previous post, but does that color have a name, or just a formula #?

It looks real close to the PT Cruiser Dark Plum Pearl color

It's Stryker Purple used on a small number of Vipers from '15 to '17. The color is shifted way off in the video and most photos because of florescent lights.
And it looks like one of those colors that will be completely different at night

I am having a nervous breakdown waiting on this. So far it is excellent but completion is only cure.
Wait until you hear the next chapter, when he does get it finished, he'll probably be one of those that will sell it and then find another project vehicle to satisfy his urges of always wanting to keep busy doing something. :ROFLMAO:
All I can say is this is one top-notch shop! There are not many good body shops these days, so this is a real treat to follow this rebuild :)
And it's nice you found a shop that has an appreciation for a classic, and realize that it's their reputation on the line, and hopefully they're doing 110% job

Looking sweet! I'm just dying with anticipation to see the finished product.

It's almost killing me.

Kind of interested as Dad had a '72 Charger that he ordered. Took 8 weeks to get.
Don't die before he's done, you won't see it finished o_O

It is extremely difficult to keep breathing until the actual completed rollout.
Keep breathing or you'll be as purple as the car.

My paint guy pointed out that my master cylinder was all rusty and asked if I really wanted to reinstall that over fresh paint. So, this arrived today.

Good choice to replace it, be a shame to let such a miniscule (but very important) part ruin an otherwise fantastic build.
Looking good!!
Yep, I'm sure he much more now enjoys showing it off, taking a rest from the restoration, knowing what it was in the beginning, he probably thought he would never see the finish line, to enjoy the fruits of all his hard labor
