I like the sound of that!Change of heart. Now I think I've settled on Corvette Black Rose Metallic. Still waiting on a slot at the body shop.

A year for the motor?Looks like I'm back to square one looking for a body shop/painter. It's very frustrating. I'd just sell the car and all the parts if my wife would let me. At least, after almost a year, I did finally get my wiper motor back.

Wow, sorry to hear that.It was an expensive lesson learned. I'm just hoping the thing works. I may wind up having to send it to someone else to ensure it's correct. When I contacted her around the beginning of January 2018 and asked if she could get it done over the winter. It tooks months after she assured me she could to get her to respond to an email (she had my motor by this point). Eventually, I was assured she'd finish it up over Memorial Day weekend. It finally showed up just before Christmas. Very disappointed with the lack of communication. After hearing from others who've used her, I'm afraid the motor might be full of glass beads. I guess I'll have to plug the harness into it and see if it works.
That is nice there is a radio option that looks factory!I also decided to install a new radio in my last uncut dash bezel. That's a tedious chore on this car. Mostly because the same shop that screwed up my vacuum harness installed the radio that was in it and had used half a pound of zip ties on its harness. Even with the cluster out, it still took what felt like forever to get the radio free.

That looks really nice, much better than the fake wood.Dash insert wrapped in carbon fiber-look vinyl.

Ouch! Some body shops are not quality...I paid the previous shop to cut out all the rust and weld in new metal. Unfortunately, I was overseas and couldn't keep an eye on them. This is what the new shop found on the front fenders that had just been puttied over.

Thats is awesome you found someoneIt's hard to find a shop that will work on old cars. I found a guy who only works on old cars.
Wow, that is a lot of layers! After seeing the driver door, I knew that stripping it was the right decision.

Wow, this has me dreading the repair on my Valiant. I have some Rust bubbles under the vinyl top, so i am imagining there is much more that i cant see.Windshield frame and drip rail I've already paid another shop to cut out and replace. Amazing the damage a vinyl top does. This is going to be one expensive paint job.

I think that is a great update!I opted to shave the drip rails. I went back and forth on it in my mind, but landed on the side of getting rid of them. I think it smooths and modernizes the look of the car a bit.

Previous body shop REALLY loved filler. I asked if he thought he'd removed 100lbs of filler. He estimated it was a lot more than that.

Wow, that is a lot of filler.....
That color is beautiful! Finally getting some color with basecoat in the engine compartment. Too bad the lighting washes out the color.
