33 indicates a problem with the air conditioner relay - either open or shorted.
55 is an "end of message" indicating that there are no more codes.
I suspect your problem will require a bit more digging. Any vacuum leaks?

Code 33 indicates an issue with the air conditioning wide open throttle cut out relay circuit. Cut out relay is the same as the A C clutch control relay. The code appears if proper system voltage is not present at the relay (open or shorted).

With igntion key in the ON / RUN position, check for 12 volts on the DB wire at the cut out relay. See attached image. Diagrams are for a 1984 model vehicle but should be the same for a 1985 model.

If the throttle linkage is free to move and close the throttle and no binding exists, a high or fast idle is indicative of vacuum leaks at the throttle body. Vacuum leaks contribute to a lean fuel mixture. The oxygen sensor reports this lean condition to the ECU (engine control unit or logic module). The logic module adds more fuel through the injectors to reach a balanced air - fuel mixture. Adding more fuel to more air causes the engine to run faster.

Check for broken or cracked vacuum hoses at the base of the throttle body. This is a confined area and age and heat cause the lines to get brittle and break easily. See attached image.

So happy to hear someone is running a 2.2 Turbo car. What model?

Code 33 will also appear on vehicles not equipped with A/C. The PCM is just saying that circuit is not there. Disregard it.
Not every problem will set a fault code. If the signal is 'wrong', but still within believable limits (not shorted or open), the PCM may let it pass.

For a fast idle on EFI/Turbo cars, look for vacuum leaks. You may hear a hiss, locate it & see a cracked or disconnected vacuum hose. Make sure that the throttle blade is closed (at idle) and there is no binding or interference with the throttle or transaxle kick-down cables.
Avoid tampering with any factory adjustments, they should not have changed unless someone has fiddled with them while trying to fix this or another problem.

Allan is spot on. This car would be almost 40 years old and probably has broken or cracked vacuum lines. Inspect them and replace as needed.
