I'm wondering how easily I can sort out the problem of a charging gauge that doesn't move from dead centre despite having the battery run down twice in the last week.

I think it has a C at the top and a D at the bottom of the gauge. The needle doesn't waver from dead centre.

It's nice to have the gauges until they no longer work.

Any advice about where to look for faulty parts would be appreciated.

It's less troubling than the oil pressure gauge but if it's simple to trace out it would be nice to have it working.

thanks.

Living in Canada makes ebay purchases expensive. I'll be in California this summer, if the van works out, and I'll purchase a shop manual then so I can dive into the things that I need more details for.

Thanks for the feedback though. This might be one that simply gets replaced with a voltmeter.
