Hello. I own a 1989 Dodge Daytona (original owner!), and am located in central New Jersey. I need assistance with routine brake work, I currently can't afford to have it done, and need to do it myself, and am looking for someone to help me out. Any suggestions or advice are welcome. Thanks - Kolchak

It’s likely the 89 Daytona may also have rear disc brakes.

Can you post some pictures? you can also try to search for an '89 service manual on line - sometimes you can find them for free - I have '85 and '86 - not sure if '89 is similar but I don't think so. with pictures might be able to provide more specifics

There is a tool that you really need:
- Brake caliper press/ retraction tool, its used for pressing the pistons back into the caliper, you can use a c-clamp but its a poor substute.

That's overkill. The C-Clamp will work fine. The cylinder in the caliper doesn't have to turn to compress in.
