may be time for a new motor or sell the car.

Which engines will work in that car aside from the NewYorker/Imperial/dynasty's. Will the van motors work? If so which years? (up to 2001?) Aren't the water pumps different on the vans?

Thanks.

If the car has a 3.8 engine, then the compatible donors are the other 91-93 cars (Imperial, Fifth Avenue) with a 3.8 (it was not an option on the vans until 1994 and that is not listed as an interchange).
If the car has a 3.3 engine, then the compatible donors are 90-91 cars and minivans.
Those are what are listed as a direct interchange.

Should be mentioned that if you're swapping a 3.3 with a 3.8, you'll need the ECM to go with it. Personally, I'd say it's worth it, though the transmissions are geared differently between the two.

Thanks for the info. If only 90-91's are compatible that will really limit my sources of motors. I do know of one but haven't heard it run.

I may bite the bullet and change the gaskets myself. Will probably be less work and Looks like about $160ish with getting the heads planed. Time to get "around to it" who knows.

May just sell as it is too.

Thanks again!
