I am puzzled by the leak. I know it'll probably be best to just pull the pump at this point, but for the fluid to leak out completely without pressurizing the system, it'd need to be a big/fast leak. You should be able to see where the fluid comes from. Given the info you've provided, I'd bet the reservoir is the culprit - it could either be cracked, or improperly installed. The hoses (or lack there of) could be an issue too, though I think you would have clearly seen fluid leaking from them given their exposure.

In an unrelated note; If you are looking for parts for your convertible, there is a gentleman in the Mid-West who runs a Sebring-Convertible-only salvage yard of sorts. He has tons of parts in good condition and sells them for very reasonable prices.

I have ordered several things from him. If there is something you need, but you cannot find locally, he may be able to help you out.
