Hey guys, if you don't want to rear the unnecessary story behind this skip down a couple paragraphs to the question

so after replacing my oil pressure sending unit a couple of months ago I have not been loosing (leaking or burning) any car fluid except gas and windshield wiper fluid! I probably added about a quarter of a quart in 1000 miles and that's it. I'm proud to say i'm not leaking power steering fluid or coolant or engine oil anymore.

I just drove about 350 miles home , 6 hours 20 mins, and checked all my fluids (except manual tranny, don't check that as often) and fluids were the same as when I left. no drips under my car like before the sending unit replacement. Now this morning I only drove for like 20 mins and maybe 10 miles around town doing errands. As I walked back to my car in the parking lot I noticed there was a medium sized oil puddle under my engine. Thought not much of it and drove 5 mins back home. Checked under my car cause I am neurotic and saw some oil dripping into a small puddle under the back of my engine/ tranny, right under where the CV's connect. Though ah crap...its either the engine or tranny. So I went to check my engine oil and it was the exact same as it was before the leak. But then I saw that the (correct me if I am mis identifying the part) rear (drivers side I assume is rear cause belts would be front side) camshaft plug, its the solid one looks like a hockey puck was half fallen out and some oil splashed on my air box.

So I have come to the conclusion that the oil is dripping from there. I have looked up replacing this part and found some volvo/ audi forums say that it can be caused by a PCV problem where there is positive pressure in the top end. Some people have said to just clean the perimeter and hammer a new one in, some have said to do a whole valve cover job. What would you guys recommend for a TBI 2.2? Also If I have mis ID the part please educate me on what its name is. Also I forgot to mention, I did notice while idling for about 15 mins that the idle seemed a little rogher and more shaky, nothing significant but it was in the back of my mind. Could that just be me being over paranoid or related to the end cap falling off.

Thank you and happy holidays to everyone

A positive crankcase pressure would also be blowing oil into the air cleaner box from the breather. Check this.
The rear cam plug may just have blown out and needs replacement. Google for Mopar part # 4343903.

You can also use an anaerobic sealant (usually orange or red in color) available from the dealer, on the new or used plug (if the plug is in good shape).

No reason to change the valve cover gasket unless it's leaking oil. You can just tap the cam cap in with a wooden block and mallet to drive it in straight.

I had my head gasket replaced in march, I'm assuming the valve cover gasket had to be removed and replaced as part of taking the head off? The valve cover leaks a little on the right side but I don't think its significant enough to change right now. So I guess I'll just buy a new one for $5 and pop it in.
