Where is the left front airbag impact sensor located. Car was hit on left front and bumper damaged but no air bag deployment.
Airbag light is on on the dash. Code says sensor is not communicating. Have a new sensor to try and then can one trace wiring?

Welcome to Allpar. They are a 2-wire, 2-10mm bolt sensor frame mounted on either side of the radiator.

Make sure you unplug the battery and leave the car alone for a while (about half an hour) before touching anything related to the airbag. The system uses huge capacitors to fire the squibs, and while some vehicles can "safe" and discharge the capacitors as soon as the ignition is off, others take a while for the residual charge to bleed off. Better safe than (very) sorry.
