2010 Journey 3.5 v6 r/t...alt and battery replaced in the last 6 months...still draining and after sit for a while will not start...as soon as power is applied to the booster ports it will start..NTB has checked the battery twice and it and the alternator check good...had also checked at oreilly but was from the ports and battery showed bad...NTB mechanic said dodge had an issue with the radio, which update is available or could be the box that houses the fuses and relays...I worked for napa for 15 years, not as a tech, but it sounds to me like a bad cell in the battery but NTB will not replace it...Was wondering if you had any clues on this issue.

Welcome to the forums. Did the battery show 'bad' or was it simply discharged? A valid battery test requires a fully charged battery to begin with.
Is the battery top completely sealed or can you test individual cells with a hydrometer for a 'bad' cell?

It sounds like a current draw issue with the vehicle sitting if the battery shows an otherwise good capacity. Something electrical is possibly staying on?
You can measure ignition-off draw (IOD) after the modules enter 'sleep' mode a few minutes after shutdown. There will be a small current draw present to keep memories and settings alive.

There are some module updates for the vehicle, if you haven't updated them yet. Do you know the vehicle service history? The fuse/relay module is called the TIPM.
TSB # 08-026-12 covers an REW/REX radio update for the radio staying active after a Uconnect call. This can discharge the battery. The bulletin is for 'international' vehicles and may not apply to U.S. vehicles. Ask your dealer.
You might ask if they can update all modules that have an update at one visit while the tool is plugged in.

What is the exact time period "sit for a while will not start"? Is this 4 hours, 2 days???? And what does "will not start" mean? Starter will not cause the crankshaft to rotate or crankshaft rotates but engine will not fire and run on its own?

After fully charging the battery and doing a load test, and charging voltage measurement, I measure the current draw with a 10A ammeter in series with the negative post (postive is OK, too). After a few minutes, current consumption should drop from somewhere around 100mA to 40mA or even less. If it stays over a couple of hundred milliamps, there is a short somewhere. I then track that down by pulling fuses one at a time until the short goes away, and then within that circuit, look for the fault.
