2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee after Rubicon testing

Hidden between all the Toyota and Ford recall articles this week were stories about the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee being tested on the Rubicon; where Jeep showed you the before and during pictures, we have the "after" photos! Brian Williams shot these for Brenda Priddy & Company.

Keep in mind that this was a stock Jeep Grand Cherokee with street tires on a very demanding course. One reader commented that even specially built vehicles can end up in rough shape; while the Grand Cherokee had some exhaust and bumper damage and a few dents, it seems overall to have made it in one piece.

It's hard to interpret what appears to be fluids running from under the car; could be antifreeze, could be something else, could just be that they parked it over a wet area. Maybe a reader can weigh in; but it doesn't look like antifreeze, oil, or transmission fluid.

MoparNorm added: "Interesting and except for the front and rear (does that lift gate still operate?) it's surprising to see that much damage with all of those trail spotters... Looks more like driver error than anything, however a more telling set of photos would show the undercarriage... "
