I have a 2012 Charger with the 8.4 inch info screen. When use the ac/heater the recirc mode has a mind of its own. I assume this is computer controlled. Is there a way to put this in the control of the user or at least get it in a mode of on in more situations?

This is a factory installed unit as part of a package. At time the recirc icon is gray and the when is functional it is lighted and active. There is not prdictable or rational time when it is active. On our other Dodge products recirc is available except in defrost mode.
