With how complicated engine swaps can be, it would probably be a lot easier to work a bunch and buy a vehicle with a 3.6L in it already, if not cheaper as well. It's hard to say, it might work right, but I doubt the 8 speed will fit without cutting and adjusting the transmission tunnel and the motor mounts will also have to be fabricated. I'm sure the wiring harnesses will not interconnect at all, just with how complex they are anymore. You might get it to run, but all the odds and ends might be far harder to get working correctly.
