Wheel hop is generally caused by too much skinney pedal, too much air pressure, or too little traction caused by an empty bed.
Try slowing down and using the locker, or putting some weight in the bed. Lower your air pressure when off road.

thanks moparnorm. @ 20psi front and rear 2.5 feet of snow both lockers in im getting the wheel hop. i live in the mountains and do a lot of hunting, scouting, high mountain lake fishing ect. some times the long skinny pedal is the only pedal that will get you up that last unplowed skidder road where no ford nor chevy dare to go. (i call those people "flat landers") i have never tried weight in the back due to the fear of breakage. how much weight are we talking about? i have bales of straw that when soaked with water and frozen weigh aprox 200lbs per bale.

It sounds like the weight thing might be the trick, if your bed is empty.
Put 3 bales, or about 600 lbs over the rear axle and let me know if that did the trick.
Sidebar story. I once pulled up to a muddy construction site with about 1,000 lbs of hardware in my bed, drove right up to the storage shed, just like it was dry pavement. Unloaded the Dodge and couldn't move! ;)
Had to tie a tractor onto my front bumper and the two of us barely made it out.
Weight properly distributed can work wonders. ;)

It looks like the ST Power Wagon was dropped for 2013 if the Ram website is correct??? Errrr!

If I said it once, I’ve said it 100 times. The Power Wagon package should be a free flow option across all Ram 2500 models including standard cabs! Ram is making me mad now.
