They are correct about the ProMaster. It is receiving a diesel four cylinder that is 3.0L that had 174hp and 295 ft-lb of torque. This is an FPT engine, not a VM.

Two different diesels with the same displacement.

Yes. They reported that in the last issue. The current issue says that the Ram 1500 will get the same engine as the Promaster. I think they confused the 3.0 I4 and the 3.0 V6. Both have the Ecodiesel name attached to them.

Plus the GC and Ram are RWD-based and the Promaster is FWD based right?

Gotcha, yes you are right. They are confused.

The Ram gets the VM B6 and the ProMaster gets the FPT I4

They both will use Pentastar V6
