Yes, that's my photo LOL

I wonder if that car is still sitting at the dealer?!?!?!?

Mike
They'd better have it sold prior to the Daytona launch...

A fully loaded Daytona 392 is priced at $50,325, a fully loaded SRT392 is $55,000. So for $5k you are getting the SRT name, three mode suspension, Harman Kardon sound system, SRT seats, and SRT bezel around the dash and shifter.

Correct.

The Charger Daytona 392 adds $5,000 MSRP to Charger R/T Scat Pack and you get the following:
• MOPAR cold air intake
• Satin Black hood, roof and decklid graphics
• Brembo® 6-Piston brakes (black calipers)
• New Forged 20x9.5” Low Gloss Black wheels (WRV) • “392” vinyl fender graphic
• “Daytona” grille and IP badge
• Daytona” embroidered Nappa/Alcantara seats
• “Carbonite” aluminum IP / console finish
• Performance tilt/tele/heated steering wheel

Base Charger Daytona 392 MSRP is $44,995.

Where things sit right now, I think we have a good balance from R/T, to Daytona R/T (or is it Daytona 340?), to Scat Pack, to Daytona 392, to SRT392. I think the price points are well balanced, something I felt was severely lacking during the 2012-2014 model years.

Edit: I should say, good balance in terms of price to performance.

I thought i read all the RT '17 chargers and challengers were getting the 2.75" SRT exhaust. Am I wrong?
Yes, that is correct. They all get the SRT electronic exhaust... so basically the $2k I paid for my Scat Pack Stage 1 kit for the cold air, exhaust and ECM and the R/Ts all get stuff close from the factory. Just curious to know the numbers with 2017 Charger R/Ts with the 3.06 gears vs a Scat Pack Stage 1 R/T from the 2014 model year.

No I am talking about the SRT392 VS the Daytona 392. Doesn't seem like much value if you can put up with not having the three mode suspension, the SRT logos in the seats and dash and exterior, and the bezel trims.

Charger R/T Scat Pack
Charger Daytona 392
Charger SRT392
Charger SRT Hellcat

I opted not to include the Hellcat, because the price and performance jump is pretty significant. The rest are very simple ~$5k jumps.

Price with destination:
Base V8 price
R/T - 35,885

5k jump gets you either a lot of extra in a 5.7, or a base performance machine
Daytona 340 - 40,985
R/T Scat Pack - 41,090

5k jump gets you a bunch of Hellcat/SRT392 equipment
Daytona 392 - 46,090

6k jump gets you the 3 mode suspension, plus a bunch of other SRT-exclusive extras
SRT 392 - 52,240

16k jump is a massive boost in overall performance.
SRT Hellcat - 68,740

I would personally love to see something slotted between the Hellcat and 392. I doubt it will happen, and honestly, it's probably not necessary. To be fully clear, I think all the vehicles in the list are an amazing bang for the buck. Isn't it crazy that we are paying almost the same in 2016 for a 485hp v8 that has done sub 12-second quarter mile times in stock form (save drag radials), as we did the original Charger SRT8 in 2006? To me that is just plain nuts. And the fact that a 707hp supercar is attainable to the middle class now, just unreal.

Daytona 340 VS R/T Scat Pack isn't a good battle. The Daytona R/T is basically just an appearance package with out real performance. The R/T Scat Pack not only gives you the 6.4L with 100 more horsepower but it also gives you Brembos four piston brakes.

Yes I know what you were getting at... that's why I posted what came with the Daytona 392 and what the base MSRP is.

Bob, according to the info sheet it is Daytona 5.7L not Daytona 340 ;)

I think the best offering package for the masses to bring people into the Charger has to be the fact you can get the Blacktop Edition package on the SE. Also you can now get the full array of colors for the 2017 model year on the Charger SXT AWD Rallye.
