Today, Ram will announce a new Lone Star Silver, exclusive to Texas.  It will make its first show appearance at the State Fair of Texas, along with updates to other Ram pickups.

The Silver takes Ram’s best-selling truck in Texas, the Lone Star, and adds a “luxury grille,” bright belt moldings, side-view mirrors, side steps, and 20-inch wheels. It also has front tow hooks and a grille-mounted, milled-aluminum badge.  Inside, it has new cloth and vinyl high- back bucket seats in brown and beige, or black and gray.

The badge, shown above, is also evidence of a new two-year service program to be unveiled later today.

The Lone Star Silver can be purchased with the Ram 1500 4x2 and 4x4 Crew Cab, with either box, and any Ram 1500 engine. They will arrive by the end of the year, at a cost of just $900 for the Silver, bringing the total price to $40,315 (including destination).

The Limited and Longhorn are also being updated. The Limited, in standard or heavy duty form, can have black “RAM” tailgate letters  as a $195 option later this year.
