I just hate all that textured plastic. Don't get me wrong I understand it's supposed to be rugged but c'mon. It can be stylish and competent/capable. Land Rover does it, why can't Jeep.

Yeah I hear you.

Makes waxing annoying because you have to tape it off, and you have to hope that it doesn't fade over time.

It's not that bad. If you get wax on it just use a pink eraser. Never had issues waxing my dads trailhawk or the dart with eh mopar ground effects

Stuff like mothers back to black or Meguiars ultimate black works great to stop fading of black plastics.
I'm just saying, it's annoying to deal with. I've got those silly "black" plastic roof rails on my Caliber. (the ones that look like a zebra after a few years untreated) There's better stuff than that out there than those products that doesn't wash off after the first rain storm. But I still find it best to avoid getting it on the plastic to begin with:

Peanut butter and a toothbrush.
It's a thing.
Even my dad, a detailing genius, couldn't believe it.

Here's why Cherokee refresh needs to be amazing:
Local dealer #1: 237 new Jeeps in inventory, 101 of them are Cherokees.
Local dealer #2: 264 new Jeeps in inventory, 116 of them are Cherokees.
The ratio is better on a nationwide search (though I'm sure Autotrader.com isn't reflective of all inventory):
140k new Jeeps, 39k of them are Cherokees.
At 36k, that's well over an average 60 day supply.

You can see how FCA US is now putting padding behind the black camo to throw you off of the body lines... DT has a similar thing.

For us, it's:
Dealer 1: 68 Jeeps with 24 Cherokees
Dealer 2: 32 Jeeps with 11 Cherokees
Still the most prominent Jeep on the lot. Even the JKs are less prominent.

Interesting that they went through the trouble of putting in orange rear turn signals (yay!) but they override the brake light on that side.

Switchbacks... seems like all of the new FCA US product are getting them.
Yeah, seems to be so. And the new DT gets them too right? I think I saw in the spyshots...

You know.... you are just being a little too picky and here I thought after all that talk about wanting to see the Trailhawk you'd be happy! LOL
I'm happy with seeing the Trailhawk spyshots :)

Not going to lie... I think the 2019 Cherokee looks great in all other trims but Trailhawk. That original front end, just broke the nom from the other Jeeps. I wasn't a fan of the original front end of KL on the street models, but loved it on Trailhawk. From the spy shots, Cherokee to me looks more friendly, were the current KL Trailhawk gives you that "I am going to kick your [I should have my mouth washed out with soap for using such terms]" look.
