The Dodge Durango SRT has been a hit with buyers since the 475-horsepower package debuted for the 2018 model year. The 392-cubic inch Hemi-powered Durango is the best performing three-row SUV in the American market, dashing from a stop to 60 miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds while en route to a quarter mile time in the high 12-second range. This SRT model doesn’t skimp on functionality either, offering 8,700 pounds of towing capacity.

For the 2020 model year, Dodge has rolled out two new appearance options that can be combined to make the Durango SRT even more aggressive looking. This includes the new Redline strip and the Black Appearance Package, both of which will make their formal debut next week at the 2020 Chicago Auto Show.

“The numbers tell the story. As Dodge performance enthusiasts move through the Durango lineup to the fastest, most powerful and most capable American three-row SUV, they want their vehicle to stand out in a crowd,” said Tim Kuniskis, Global Head of Alfa Romeo and Head of Passenger Cars – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America. “Last year, 25 percent of Durango SXT buyers chose the Blacktop Package. That jumped to more than 60 percent on the Durango R/T. Now, this new SRT-exclusive Black package gives SRT buyers an even more exclusive look and they can order it when they order their vehicle at the dealership.”

The 2020 Dodge Durango SRT Black package focuses on the exterior, adding a Midnight Grey Metallic “SRT” grille badge, Midnight Grey Metallic 392 badges on the fenders, Gloss Black mirror caps, 20-inch Matte Vapor wheels, Eclipse Black Tint exhaust tips, a Satin Black Dodge logo on the rear end, a Gloss Black “4” AWD badge in Midnight Grey Metallic and both Durango and SRT badges on the rear end in Midnight Grey Metallic. Buyers can also opt for Brass Monkey wheels at no additional cost.

The 2020 Durango SRT Black package adds $1,495 to the bottom line.

The other new option is the Redline stripe. This includes a twin stripe running down the middle of the front fascia, the hood, the roof and the rear lift gate. This stripes are Satin Black with Redline Red trim on the outer edge of each and it costs $1,295.

Each of these new options are available with 10 exterior colors, including Billet Silver, DB Black, Destroyer Grey, F8 Green, Granite Crystal, Octane Red, Reactor Blue, Redline, White Knuckle and Vice White. The vehicle shown here is White Knuckle with both the Black package and the Redline stripe. A similar vehicle will be on display in Chicago next week, showcasing the two options together. Frankly, the two go together so well that we wonder why the Black package doesn’t cost more and include the stripes, but in any case, if you like the look of the high performance SUV shown here, you can add both for $2,790.

Both of these options can be ordered for the 2020 Durango SRT starting in March.
