My Barracuda has a 273 with the BBD carb. The well choke' spring car has aged and doesn't contract enough to open the choke fully even when I adjust it to the leanest adjustment. I found one on eBay but the link rod has a slight dog led. The one I have has pronounced 'V' shape. Will the one on eBay work on my car?

If yours does function, as in moves when warmed up, the adjustment is bending the rod itself straighter so it moves more. Straighten yours out some more and she will work, sounds like someone "over adjusted" it at some point by bending it too much.
