Hey guys,

My Minivan´s crank seal (timing belt side) started leaking very badly.

Do i have to remove the oil pump and pan or should it work without these steps?

Thanks again,

Kevin

I don't know the process on a 3.0 but consider one of the seal replacement kits that has a sleeve for the crank. The surface of the crank can be worn and prevents a new seal from working properly. The sleeve provides a nice, smooth surface for the new seal.

Oh dear.....

Well, i just ordered the seal (ring) itself, maybe the package contains a new sleeve, i´m not sure...

But i´ll just have to get out the old seal and carefully install the new one right? No oil pump / pump case removal required right?
