Just a quick question. My 04 PT has a 40TE transmission that is still going strong at 277,000 miles. However, I know that at some point, it may need to be replaced. Is the 41TE a direct replacement for the 40TE? Are the mechanical and electrical connections the same, and would the TCM need to be modified?

From what I've seen, they are pretty much identical, but the 41TE has more clutch plates.
