Good evening guys n gals. Help is needed kinda quickly, so I'll give a little history about what is going on.
I purchased a 5.2 magnum motor from a pull a part '95 Grand Cherokee for a project and really didn't want to use Aluminum bearings.
So, i found a ebay auction for some MS2221 V high performance bearings from Clevite. I've used Clevites for decades and like the tri-metal coatings.
BUT, when I got the set and eagerly opened the box, started putting them in the block and ended with just one regular width for #5 and the hole doesn't even line up.
#3 has the thrust flange and all fit except the #5 which I think would have to be like the Chevy ones with the thrust flange. THE WIDE ONE back by the
rear lip seal. BUT, I've called several shops and whom I won the auction from (Northern Auto) and they can't seem to come up with anything for me..
I have a stupid-phone so I can't take pics and post (unless I do it the old way)
Does anyone out there know if the bearings should have two thrust flanged bearings (for #3 and #5) or does one just use the thin one for #5?
Thanks E
