'84 fifth ave. power steering

It is my understanding that chrysler used two power steering boxes. One was standard and the other was 'road feel' firmer
what is the difference and how do I get more road feel from a standard box?

You get more road feel from a standard box by either replacing it with a firm feel box or rebuilding it to the closer tolerances used during the factory assembly of the firm feel box.
You can also "fake" some more feel into it by placing a restrictive washer in the power steering line as Mopar Action did:
Doesn't make the box firmer but removes some of the power steering over boost.

Even the rebuilt firm feel (also know as cop boxes) aren't that great. The best solution and it's not cheap is a box from one of these places:
