Welcome to Allpar!

If this is a 1990 Dodge Dakota with V-6 or V-8, there IS a crankshaft position sensor. It's at the bellhousing on the passenger top side. Which engine is this?

Are you still getting these codes, or are they just historical?

Ah, OK, you're right, it was 1992 when they went multi-port fuel injection that they introduced the crank sensor, and the distributor pickup controls only the fuel injector synchronization.

Could be the infamous splice from the battery to the relay box. If you remove the relay box from the fenderwell and dig into the wiring bundle, there is a splice that was poorly done at the factory and often corrodes, causing intermittent operation or loss of power. I lost power to the starter relay on my truck due to this. Could be that when it gets hot it expands just enough to break contact. Solution is to solder it, or use a bunch of new crimps.
