i have a 97 grand voyager 3.3l 41TE, i have no reverse and no third gear, when it shifts to third it acts like it in neutral till it reengages second then will go to limp after a bit of failed shifts, says 3rd gear ratio incorrect, i put a new solenoid pack installed, input output sensors and even tried a "new" used tcm no luck so im thinking its internal failure.
will any 41te from the years that used it work? or will it have to be a 41te from a van that had the 3.3?

The only direct interchange is from another 3.3 equipped 1997 van. If you swap in a 1997 3.8 transmission, the gearing will be slightly different.
If you go to another year you may find electronic issues (like different connectors or incompatible sensors) that cause it not to work.

i talked to a tech at local dealer, said removing valve body and seeing if there is crud stopping up the passages may be least evasive thing to do, will be doing this next day off
