Hello! I am seeking the upper cover plant on my 3 Speed FWD transmission. It is on my 82 Reliant. There are lower and upper plates, as shown on the diagram. I need just top one (shown as #2). I do not need the lower. I have 2 Part Numbers for this item, which by the way, is not available from all the usual sources I use. The part I need is #2. 5222554 & 4329819. Later 3 speeds show this number 4412526. Upper cover plate for the 2.6 and 3.0 engines will not work! Any help-assistance is greatly appreciated!

Every upper shield I have seen has been attached to a block.
Look for a 2.2L or 2.5L engine that has had the transaxle pulled off or a scrap engine block?

Walt: Good to hear from you! I have taken apart 2- 2.2 engines and cannot recall that I ever saw one! However, I will look at the two 2.5 engines that I pulled a few years ago. Maybe I'll get lucky! I surmise you are well?? Thanks for replying. Be Safe!!
