Coming in a bit late here, but I worked on these when they were new. If you still have issues in wet weather, a new cap and rotor will usually cure it. Blue Steak used to make these with brass electrodes and rotor tangs. When I raced, sometimes there would be a slight miss that just wouldn't go away. The brass contacts often helped.
One thing to check though is do you have points or electronic ignition. Electronic was an option in 1972 and eliminated so many warranty calls it was made standard in '73. Being a Fury III, I would assume electronic, but it wasn't standard.
