Is the selector in the floor/defrost or defrost position?
The compressor will run to remove humidity in these positions.

Is this an ATC system? They may run in other modes or when there is a large temperature difference between ambient and settings.

ATC (automatic temperature control) would have the digital temperature display. MTC (manual temperature control) would be the basic system with the knobs.
Whenever the fan is blowing, it may be pushing out condensate. You probably should look down at the compressor clutch to see if it is actually engaged.
