Adding console to a 91 New Yorker

I know this has been discussed before, but I'd like to try to clear this up for myself.

I am almost positive that I can find an under-dash console out of a 92 or 93 and install it in my car. I see two holes cut in the material that covers the airbag box in the center, but do I also need something else, like a mounting plate?

I will be on the lookout for a console and just want to be certain I get everything I need to bolt that in.

You will need the mounting plate - the one for the center console has studs on it to which the console bolts on.

If your car has remote keyless entry, you'll find the programming wire under the carpet in that area too.
