Ram is counting down to the unveiling of its new 2013 Heavy Duty and Chassis Cab trucks, according to the Ram web site (thanks,Wyat72). On Thursday at 10 am, the new Ram 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 will be unveiled, according to the site. The big Rams have tough Cummins turbodiesel engines (standard on heavier-duty models), which was, for many years, their primary selling point. The only other available engine, not sold on the heavier duty Rams, has been the 5.7 liter Hemi V8. Ram's chassis cabs were designed to have best in class upfitter-friendliness and total cost of ownership, along with comfortable interiors and features such as power takeoff and diesel-based "Jake brakes." Earlier, we posted spy shots of what we believed to be the 2014 Ram Heavy Duty, which was reportedly to include an optional 6.4 liter Hemi V8.
