I am sure it will. economies of scale and techncal costs combined.

In Europe, where Diesels are approx 50% of market, we still have to pay around $2K-$3K premium or more for equal specs on diesels vs petrol. Sometimes more.

In US you'll have to factor in the different volume levels, my guess is the premium will run in the $3K+

*sigh* I kind of figured as much.
