Last month, when Chrysler was outsold by Honda, Allpar noted that July is usually a down month for sales and that July 2013 was an unusually weak month for Chrysler Group fleet sales. We said then that our analysis of Chrysler sales trends indicated a nice August rebound and that Chrysler should be back up to the No. 4 position in sales no later than September. August sales figures won't be released until tomorrow but  based on forecasts from three analysts, it looks like Chrysler made it back in August. Michelle Krebs at Edmunds.com, Alec Gutierrez at KBB.com and Jesse Toprak at TrueCar.com all predict a sharp uptick for Chrysler. In fact, the consensus is that Chrysler's July-August increase will be the largest of any of the major automakers. ANALYSTS' AVERAGE PREDICTED SALES VOLUME Manufacturer Aug-13 Forecast Aug-12 Y/Y Change Jul-13 M/M Change Chrysler Group 166,351 148,472 12.04% 140,102 18.74%..

Yet it still managed to outsell the Avenger this month (finally). What happened to Avenger sales?

edit: Are they finally reducing incentives on the Avenger, and/or are they increasing them on the Dart?

Its not going to get better this month..... They ditched the special APR and consumer cash. There is $500 bonus cash for employees and a sales bonus but good luck hitting that without any incentives.

Look at the GC sales. That's not shabby at all!

As for everything else. The Avenger doesn't surprise me. Could be reduced rebates or something, eh? But look at the Durango, it seems to be finally picking up, I should think the trend will continue with the 2014s. If trends continue, Perhaps we can expect chrysler to break 200k sales for a month next year.

I think the switchover to 2014s caused a shortage. I think some of our sales pro's commented on that.

Which was LAST month - July 2013 was 6064 units.

Dart's been on sale for 14 calendar months. Best month was April 2013 (8099), worst was June 2012 (772). August 2013 was #6 (6901).
