Vapor Chrome wheels are awesome

What's good for the aftermarket may not be good for manufacturers who need to apply it in mass-production conditions and expect it to last for 10-20 years (these days, 20 years seems to be the new normal for paint jobs).

It would be great to see 20 years as a normal expectation. My experience on the "easier" paints like white and silver are more like 15 years when in their normally intended environments. This is provided that substrate - undercoat adhesion is not compromized (crappy factory job). There there is the durability of the clear coat.

Environments do differ, though. How about a durability target of 20 years in Death Valley as opposed to 20 years in the Northwest Territories?

becuase the finish look more like thhe wheels and finish used on the Blacktops ...which is not Vapor Chrome

I was thinking the same thing. Like those beautiful red-line wheels.....
