Chrysler Group has issued the following recalls: 2007 & 2008 Dodge Nitro/Jeep Liberty/Jeep Cherokee Heat Shield: Recall covers approximately 78,500 2007 and 2008 Dodge Nitro, Jeep Liberty and Cherokee 4x2 SUVs to brace a heat shield that can loosen and contact the driveshaft, causing wear and possible breakage over time. There have been fewer than 40 complaints of broken driveshafts and Chrysler Group is unaware of any collisions or injuries associated with the condition. Vehicles equipped with 4x4 drivetrains are unaffected. Chrysler Group dealers will install a bracket to hold the shield in place. The repair will be performed at no cost to customers. 2013 Ram 1500 Pickup Parking Brake: Recall covers approximately 9,300 2013 Ram 1500 trucks, most of which are in dealer hands, to inspect their parking brakes and, if necessary, reset them according to specification.
