According to The Scoop, Chrysler is investing $52 million in its Trenton Engine and Dundee plants (both in Michigan) to build more TigerShark engines, adding 298 jobs. Trenton North already makes the 3.2 liter V6, but will add a new TigerShark engine line at the cost of over $11 million. Dundee will convert over an existing line to create crankshafts, heads, and engine blocks for Trenton, while still assembling engines. Allpar has reported in the past on the rebirth of Trenton North to make both components and engines. (Thanks, Mad Duck.)
