A private tweet from Ralph Gilles, brought to our attention by reader Paul J. Reed, tells of more delays in the Dodge Dart GT, a car that Mr. Gilles described as providing much of the feel SRT cars are known for. The tweet, which we could not confirm, read: “The Dart GT is in the final stages of durability testing, looking like it will be a 2014 meaning August/Sept.” [Note: oh2o clarified this as meaning production in those months, with delivery to dealers a month later.] Some of our sources believed that dealer orders would be opening this week. As Chrysler strives to bolster its reputation for reliability, durability testing has presumably become tougher. It is now roughly one year since the Dart started production.
