While the Mopar people have kindly provided a photograph of one its seats to tease us in advance of the Chicago reveal (assuming that they are, indeed, revealing a Dart), Chrysler Canada has gone much further by showing exactly what you get (and pay for) a Dodge Dart Mopar '13. The 2013 Dodge Dart Limited, a well-equipped car (especially in Canada, where it includes an automatic), lists at C$23,245 on dodge.ca; adding the 1.4 liter engine brings the price to C$24,545 (C$26,240 with destination and Federal a/c tax). Dodge’s web site lists the Mopar 13 Package as a no-charge option on top of the Limited with 1.4/DDCT (Americans will almost certainly find a different set of pricing-and-feature configurations). For Canadians, the Mopar 13 package adds 18 x 7.0 gloss-black aluminum wheels with low-profile P225/40R18 tires; a body-color crosshair with black surround; “blackened look” applied to the headlamp bezels, shifter..

I'm interested in which rear spoiler it is, and what the inside looks like with the "piano black" console

I have no idea why they bring these vehicles out so late in the model year.

It's all just to make a buzz... and then Mopar will let us down.

They make all this hype, showing all these Mopar Parts on the Mopar Vehicles... and then don't put any of them on the production vehicle.

Yup, it seems Mopar is a shell of itself.

At least with the Dart, according to the order info above, we will finally start to see some of the promised parts trickle down. This car is loaded with Mopar stuff, according to the Canadian info anyway.

MOPAR Body Colour Front Spoiler
MOPAR Exterior Badging
MOPAR Front Splash Guards
MOPAR Performance Exhaust
MOPAR Premium Floor Mats w/Logo
MOPAR Rear Decklid Spoiler
MOPAR Shift Handle
MOPAR Stainless Door Sill Guards
MOPAR Wireless Charging Pad

I completely understand the Mopar Edition, and all the Specific Mopar Parts.

But.... If you are going to "Black Out" the Vehicle to make it look menacing, then give it some true Performance Upgrades to make it stand out above the "Limited DART".

As Dave and Strat said... It's a fine line. You have an option package on an existing car. You have to be careful not to push the car out of the window of its approval.

I think putting it on the Limited is bad personally, but they are so far behind on the GT that there may not have been a Mopar 13 had they waited much longer.

If you call it redline monochrome or blacktop that;s fine. Really tired performance names becoming color and chrome options, for me hardly worth getting excited over. To a performance person its risking the tagline of "another gutless wonder". I have had people tell me at a traffic light how much more power brand X has.

No different than other brands and marketing using terms like "Xtreme" or "Ultimate".

Nissan uses "S", "SV" and "SL" - do they actually "mean" anything? No more than "SE", "SE Plus", "SXT", and "ES" ever did.

I found it odd and confusing that they announced the Dart Aero, but yet they also equip non-"Aero" models with many of the features found on the Aero.

The Aero also includes lighter weight suspension pieces, smaller gas tank and low rolling resistance tires in addition to the "aero" tweaks on the other models.

Didn't Bob say the performance enhanced computers were no longer allowed under the new rules?
