The Michigan State Police today released the name of the driver of a 2013 SRT Viper who was killed in a single-car accident yesterday. Martin Morse, 43, of Howell, Michigan died at the scene from injuries sustained when his red Viper left the highway and impacted a cable barrier in the median of northbound US-23 near Hartland, a town of about 15,000 approximately 45 miles northwest of Detroit. Michigan State Police officers, along with personnel from the Livingston County Sheriff''s Department, Hartland Fire Department and Livingston County EMS, worked the scene. The MSP's preliminary investigation indicates the driver had turned from W. Highland Rd. (Michigan 59) onto northbound US-23 when he lost control of his car while merging, traveled across the lanes and left the pavement, entering the median.
