Chrysler has started its extensive preparations for the Woodward Cruise, which will include the unveiling of a new Rumble Bee concept truck and a rare public viewing of the Viper-powered 1991 Chrysler 300 concept car. Marc Rozman shot the photo above, showing a vintage Dodge Diplomat and a similarly colored Viper being transported to the show. The Diplomat police car has clearly seen some street life, though seen from normal vantage points it appears mint. (Younger readers likely do not remember a time when most police cars were Dodge Diplomats or the similar Plymouth Gran Fury; they only ended their reign when the factory shut down production in 1989.)
