Ram Truck announced a new commercial trucks brand (Ram Commercial) and once again confirmed a large van to be added to the lineup. The Ram ProMaster, based closely on the Fiat Ducato, has been discussed since 2009, and is to go on sale in the third quarter of 2013. The 2014 Ram ProMaster is to be a full-sized van; Ram has not announced engine choices, but did say it would be redesigned "with familiar Ram Truck styling cues, offering features and powertrains preferred by North American commercial customers." Another Ram based on the Iveco Daily has also been announced, along with a federalized and presumably renamed Fiat Doblo. The latter would have the fewest changes, according to prior statements. Daily is reportedly being reworked to be a fiercer Sprinter competitor.
