The winners of the 2012 Texas Auto Writer Association's (TAWA) Texas Truck Rodeo were announced last October, but it wasn't until today that the official presentation of the awards took place. At a press luncheon on the opening day of the Houston Auto Show, Mike Herzing, the outgoing president of TAWA, and Mike Marrs, the group's new president, passed out the signature laser-engraved, Texas-shaped trophies as well as the giant "Truck of Texas" loving cup. Chrysler Group brands were the big winners, sweeping three of the top awards, Truck of Texas for the Ram 1500, Truck Line of Texas for Ram and SUV of Texas for the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
