Double-edged sword.I don't think having five different engine families is a good option. It's far easier to have all your eggs in one basket, and watch that basket (as Puddin'head Wilson would say), than to try to test and track five different ones.
Send the heads to the staging areas and put them in the trunks of new cars going to the dealerships.You'd hope that and I'd hope that but I don't think that's happening. I do think that they've got parts for all the backorders on the way, but that they're going regular freight rather than overnight. (I wonder what overnight costs would be on a thousand heads to different dealerships across the country?)
